Good Evening
Yesterday was a beautiful winter day. It was just below zero, the sun was shining and the wind was calm. I travelled with some friends to Brazeau Dam about 2 hours west of Edmonton. You can just start to see the Rocky Mountains 90 kilometers from there.
We were in search of a Northern Pygmy Owl which eluded us. But we found lots of other very nice birds. I had a fun time hiking through the forest with my snowshoes. My friends however had a bit more of a workout. Snowshoes are now on their shopping list.
