Good Morning
Another highlight of our trip to Kananskis was sighting Spruce Grouse and Dusky Grouse. The Dusky Grouse was a lifer for Connor and a mid-lifer for me as I had only seen one once before when hiking in the Rockies in the 1990’s. The Dusky Grouse was on our target list when we went to Waterton this summer. We flushed a grouse up on a mountainside in July in proper Dusky Grouse habitat but since we didn’t get a good look at the bird, we couldn’t be sure what we saw. So we were very happy to see one this week.
