Good Morning
On Sunday, Connor and I visited a site in Edmonton where a Great Grey Owl and Northern Hawk Owl had been sighted on Thursday. Unfortunately, we were unable find them. We did find an American Kestrel. This is the smallest falcon in North America and should have headed south in October. They breed as far north as Alaska, so this may just be a late bird.
The first image is from when it dove straight at Connor and I before disappearing into the forest. The second one is a composite photo of three images that I labeled "Touch and Go” as this is the situation for the bird.
