Today is the end of our 14 day self quarantine since Hailey arrived home!! Time to go grocery shopping. A big thanks to our neighbors and friends who have been keeping our pantry stocked over the last two weeks!
This image is a composite of seven images taken in just over 2 seconds. The short-eared owl courses over the field listening for voles. When it hears something, it stops, and hovers, then drops down. My camera shoots 10 frames per second so it is possible to get each of the steps. I took some of the sequence out because they over-lap.
