Connor and I returned to the ‘ranch” Northern Hawk Owl (which hangs out near a farm north of Edmonton) today.
The sun was shining and it was very windy. This provided some unique opportunities to photograph the hawk owl as it hovered in the strong wind over the field beside us.It also came down to a fence post for some low level shots. To give you a sense of scale , the Northern Hawk Owl is about 16 “ long, slightly smaller than a crow.
A great way to start the year!
