Switching to a new computer brings a variety of challenges but I di don’t expect this one. I am transferring my covid pictures files to a folder on my new computer so the Lightroom export file don’s tell me whether I have already exported to to a covid folder and this I don’t know if you have already seen these images before. Oh well, if I have forgotten whether I have sent them, you most likely have forgotten you have seen them.

This image is of an European Greenfinch. While they look very similar to our Evening Grosbeaks that I shared recently, they are in in a separate genus (Carduelis) but same sub-family (Carduelinae). Others I have photographed in this sub-family include the Pine Grosbeak (Pinicola), the Hawfinch (Coccothraustes), Grey-crowned Rosy Finch (Leucosticte),the Cassin’s Finch, Purple Finch and House Finch (all Haemorhous), Common and Hoary Redpolls (Loxia), European Goldfinch (Carduelis), European Serin (Serinus) and American Goldfinch, Lesser Goldfinch, Eurasian Siskin, Pine Siskin, Yellow-bellied Siskin (all Spinus).

I will endeavour to show you all of these birds over the next few days.

Stay well !
