I have been receiving boxes from Amazon and Apple for the last few days as I am upgrading my computer and file storage system. And just in time as well. My main photo file storage system started acting up two days ago and is no longer accessible from my current computer. Fortunately my new computer can connect to it so I have been copying files from the old drive to some new drives. It has taken about 20 hours of computer time. I have another set of back-ups but it would have taken even longer to put them place.

So today I am sharing an image from my Flickr site. This image was taken in July 29, 2013 when we were rented a villa in Tuscany outside of Lucca. This was the view from the villa. We had been traveling for four weeks from England to Turkey to Germany to Switzerland and finally to Italy. All this after living in France for ten months. By the time we got to Lucca, summer was in full swing with temperatures in the mid 30’s and we were worn out (maybe just me). So we spent lots of time in the pool in the afternoons rather than touring around. We did take some cooking classes, cycled around Lucca, went to Pisa and spent evenings in Lucca at wonderful patio restaurants, so not all was lost.

I have include a link to my Flickr site. It is organized by timeline (Photostream) and by Albums. The French Landscape Albums are at the end of the Album list. These are images from 2012 and 2013. Most have stood the test of time but some are clearly dated to where digitally photography was at that time. HDR and grunge treatments were very popular. (Update for the blog website ; there is a link to my Flickr account on the Contact Page and on the Flickr page.)

Stay well !
