Good Afternoon

Every bird should have its day. Unfortunately, with over 10,000 species, we would need more days.

But today is IGAD - International Guillemot Appreciation Day. It might be a good day to join  the Devotees of International Guillemot Appreciation Day on Facebook!  https://m.facebook.com/groups/43280647827?__tn__=%2AsH-R

Begun on Matinicus Rock by a handful of puffineers who felt that the neglected guillemot needed some special attention, it has now spread worldwide. IGAD highlights not only the Black Guillemot, but also the Pigeon and Spectacled Guillemots.

That is good because I only have images of the west coast Pigeon Guillemot from Prince George, British Columbia down to Canon, Beach Oregon.

Thanks to my friend David Wood for sharing IGAD with me. Enjoy the day.

Stay well
