Today we travel to one of our favorite places, Grasslands National Park. Situated in south western Saskatchewan just north of the American border, this national park gets around 25,000 visitors annually. Take that Banff!
The result is a bunch of wild open spaces that you get all to yourself. Last year was the first time Connor and I visited the east side of the park. It was even quieter than the west side and true to the prairies, hot and windy. I discovered that one of my friends, Nels Seleshanko grew up in this area and his family land is now part of the park. He grew up riding all around in this area. Think of how remote that would have seemed 50 years ago. Isolation was a way of life.
The red Adirondack chairs are in Canada’s National parks and normally placed at a vista point.
Stay well !
